After reunification, the Potsdam, Frankfurt and Cottbus stations formed the radio program Antenne Brandenburg, which went on the air on May 6, 1990[9] for the local elections as the first of the state programs for the emerging new states (the others followed on July 1 for the monetary, economic and social union). In January 1992, the radio station was transferred to Ostdeutscher Rundfunk Brandenburg (ORB), and in May 2003 to Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB).
On May 1, 2003, the Sender Freies Berlin (SFB) merged with the Ostdeutscher Rundfunk Brandenburg (ORB) to form the new Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB)
